The introduction of a 5% audit on plumbing in Victoria has produced statistics that suggest a high number of unresolved defects.

There were 283,294 Compliance Certificates lodged
There were 15,730 audits completed (5.5% audit)
1,776 Audits failed (11.3%)

There were 47,209 sanitary drains booked for inspection
2,859 sanitary drains were inspected (6%)
215 sanitary drains failed inspection (7.5%)
